VITAL participates in Walkability Institute Territory-Wide Video Production
The Walkability Institute of the VI is bringing awareness to the public regarding of the need for pedestrian infrastructure in the Territory through a public access video. VITAL with collaborating partners is seeking to create a continuous network of pathways, trails and parks across St. Croix to increase safe pedestrian travel options. The investment in separate pathways/bike lanes will keep all users safe while promoting healthy lifestyles and increasing the quality of life for all. Walkability is a term used to describe a person’s ability to access walking/biking or public transit from any given location and the ease at which people can access services for daily living (shops, post office, restaurants etc.) from their locations. Many communities give a walkability score to measure this success . It is our goal to improve scores across the Territory.
